Rosewood

The name of this precious wood, which has been highly valued for centuries, probably comes from the Spanish expression "palo santo", which means "holy pole, holy wood". In English rosewood is called "rosewood", therefore rosewood is also called rosewood. The trees that provide rosewood came from the genus Dalbergia from the subfamily Patricaceae.
